Center Flow Screen

Center Flow Screen

WORKING PRINCIPLE The SCF consists of a filtration area made with perforated plate panels with a predetermined perforation, made of stainless steel. The panels are moved by a double chain (on each side of the screen frame). The panels hold the particles, thus create an occlusion that generates a rise in the up stram level; when the upstream water level reaches a pre-set level, the motor starts so the panels move toward the discharge. A rotating brush system and a spray bar ensure the complete cleaning of the panel during the screenings discharge. Wastewater enters from the center of the screen and goes out from the sides; this path ensures the maximum filtration area and maximum capture rate. Screenings are discharged by the central chute, generally connected to the a conveying system to a compactor.
